We are down to the last three weeks of the year and most often than not, this can be the busiest and mostly stressful time for many work-from-home moms.
Balancing the urgent tasks at work, perhaps catching up to finish a project for the year or preparing for a new one for the new one, and of course shopping and preparing for your holiday celebration at home. And also, the pressure of meeting friends and relatives when you get together.
As we wrap up the year and get ready to welcome a new year, it’s important that we protect our energy so we can cope with all the happenings.
How do we do this? I offer you simple ways to protect your energy and make the most of the remaining weeks with joy and gratitude.
1 – Become a master of saying NO
Most of us are unclear how we want to experience this season that’s why we keep saying yes to different activities that drain our energy and are not really a good use of our time.
When you are clear with how and what you want to experience this season, it’s easier to say YES to activities that adds more value to your life. This is more attainable when you master the art of saying NO.
2 – Stay on your health and fitness practices
Many people would skip their health and fitness practices because they have hundreds of things on their holiday to-do list. It’s also easy to make an excuse that “this is once a year” to eat unhealthy food. This mindset can do more harm than good.
The busier you are, the more essential it is that you pay attention to your health. This is the only way to ensure that you have the energy and stay dis-ease free throughout the season.
3 – Don’t be afraid to disappoint people
One of the biggest stressor this year is gift-giving. While many are in a giving spirit this season, it’s not practically feasible for everyone.
So instead of spending an arm and a leg just so you have gifts to give out for everyone, don’t be afraid to be a disappointment. You will never be for the right people anyway.
Remember, your intention matters more than the wrapped item.
These are only a few ways that you can do to protect your energy. It’s important that you are well-rested and not exhausted towards so you can welcome the New Year with high energy.
